What makes the slides interactive and engaging?
I don’t like boring. When I am in front of students, I get bored with the same photo copies. In the midst of a pandemic, I think it is important to not just upload a worksheet, but give students something interesting and interactive.
- Students can move numbers or pictures around to answer questions
- Students can read about a sports context with each presentation (and hopefully learn something new)
- At the end of each presentation, students reflect on the math content AND the sports content.
- Students get to rate their understanding of the content with fun emojis.
- There are several challenge problems
- There are plenty of pictures throughout the presentation that are related to the slide’s content.
- Some slides they can move the boxes to reveal the examples/answers and test themselves.
- There are some check for understanding slides with multiple choice question too so that the teacher can check their understanding!
