This year the 4th grade team came across $15,000 of extra money in their account! Now we need your help to decide how to spend it! We want to take your class of 78 students on an end of the year field trip, but we cannot agree on a place to go. Our ideas are Fiesta Texas, SeaWorld, Houston Space Center, State Fair of Texas, or the Dallas World Aquarium. Â Now it is up to you to help us make our decision!
Choose the park that you would like to go to and research to find the following information:
- the admission cost for 78 students and 6 chaperones (round admission prices to nearest dollar)
- the number of buses needed
- total cost of buses
- cost per student of the buses (use calculator to solve)
- cost of food for 78 students and 6 chaperones
- amount of money left over after admission, food, and bus cost
- amount of money per student left over to spend on souvenirs buses (use calculator to solve)
Be sure to organize your information into a data table so it is easier to present the information to the teachers!
