Math Resources for Week of February 21 – 24, 2017 (Angles)

The Big Idea:  This week, we will begin learning about ANGLES.  Here are the specifics:

  • Understand that an angle is formed by 2 rays or line segments that have the same endpoint.
  • Understand that angles are measured in degrees (0 to 360 degrees)
  • Distinguish between an acute angle, right angle, obtuse angle, and straight angle
  • Measure an angle using a protractor
  • Draw an angle using a protractor
  • Join to angle measures using addition
  • Separate angle measures using subtraction
